One soon to be alive hard drive :o)

YAY!!!

My laptop is being picked up as we speak [not particularly the right phrase for use but a good one nevertheless] and I am incredibly excited at the thought of having my own laptop back. I have decided I was quite attached to it, despite all the very obvious flaws.

I am running away to United Future Annual Conference this weekend, all the way up in Auckland. I am definitely looking forward to it, but I think I might be all politics-ed out by Sunday night. I do wish I could be spending this weekend in Welly, ah well. On the upside it is a weekend, which means free txting vodafone-to-vodafone . . . YAY! [Dave - you're a legend for having vodafone :oP I like txting you :oP]

So I’ll tell you all about my oh-so-exciting weekend when I get back but meanwhile I’ve got out of my speech so I don’t have to prepare anything too huge for the weekend, and I have an extension on my book review! Time to breathe more regularly I think . . .

Election blog updates

I’ve updated-ish my election blog (for anyone who cares) and changed the design again. I’m experimenting/procrastinating . . .

One dead hard drive

My poor little laptop has finally gone crazy and I am taking it to a fix-it man this arvo because I need to remove my emails from it (a slightly complicated process given that it only works in safe mode and that it doesn’t detect all my other methods for removing it). Anyway it’s all a bit insane because I have a book review due this Friday and so I must use my sis’s desktop, which is conveniently in her room on the 2nd floor of my house, or my father’s laptop which he usually takes to work each day. Fantastic!! Meh, hopefully my little baby (which is neither little or a baby really) will be fixed by next week and then I can get on with my research.

I have a lot of emails collecting in my webmail, if you’ve emailed me and I haven’t replied, it’s not because I don’t love you, it’s simply my puter’s fault :o)

I should have something exceedingly profound to say but I don’t so I’ll go with this: Dave is very good at distracting me, and I think I’m equally good at distracting him. What fun :oP

Right time to deal with emails, I’ll luv ya and leave ya :o)

P.S This does seem to be a rather pointless post . . . meh!

Oh-so much to tell . . .

I turned 21 on Saturday and that was very exciting!

I also graduate on Wednesday, which is equally exciting!!

And other very very exciting stuff is going on, which I’m not going to list in my blog, or at least not yet :o) :o)

Anyway I’ve been working lots and learning bits of Icelandic, Finnish, Swedish, Danish and will be picking up some Norwegian for my essay. I always knew politics would be a ‘useful’ subject to learn. I can now tell you useless facts about the kind of people that are MPs in Denmark, so if you ever need to know, ask me :o)

It’s becoming wintery and my hands are getting colder again, silly hands!! One of the side effects of stupid joints is that my fingers tend to get very cold and seize up if I dont warm them up . . . what to do though, I can handle :o)

June is coming up, wow who would have thought it would be june so soon! I’m going to be going to Auckland, Palmy, Hamilton and Dunedin in June/July, not a bad combo of places . . . unfortunately I also have some 5000-7500 x4 words to write for my honours research essays so that will remove a little of my holiday time, meh it’ll still be fantastic.

And with that I’m going to bed, I’m very tired and tomorrow is Tuesday and I like Tuesday’s so I’ll hopefully I’ll blog again before the end of the week. I’m going to Star Wars 3 on Friday . . . YAYAYAYAY!!!! Right, sleep! Night night everybody :o)

Are You An Undesirable Immigrant?

Are You An Undesirable Immigrant? Take Our Quiz!

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0505/S00081.htm

So well worth reading through, even if you’ve paid no attention to anything political over the past few days. Although I’m less keen on the dig at United Future but we won’t hold that against them.

Oh so clever . . . and I’m soooo very tired today!!
